Aaron Brock

Guitarist, composer, and teacher

Aaron Brock

My name is Aaron Brock and I am currently the guitar instructor at Concordia Lutheran Church, and Bellevue's School of Performing Arts. It is quite a special honor to be able to teach and perform for people of all ages and backgrounds. I have a lot to bring to the west Tennessee region. I have been teaching guitar lessons, classes and performing since 2008. My students range from lower elementary all the way through college and retired seniors.

I currently perform for all sorts of venues including grand openings, intimate dinners, weddings, chapel services, and concerts. I completed my master's in 2014 in Classical Guitar Performance with a minor in Music Education and am currently working towards my doctorate degree in Music Composition. I have won top prizes in international and local guitar competitions. All of these accomplishments have blessed me with the knowledge I needed to impart quality musicianship to the mid-south region.

Music is for everyone! My goal is to teach my students to learn to love music for a lifetime. I teach almost all fretted instruments including not limited to Guitar (Electric and Acoustic), Bass Guitar, Ukulele, and (soon) Mandolin. Our semesters of lessons culminate in a performance where the students are encouraged to perform what they have worked so hard to prepare. I hope to be able to create a program that will bring students all the way through elementary, middle, high school and on into college in order to create in them quality musicianship! We will have so much fun learning to play and bless others through music!

Teaching Philosophy

I believe in the freedom that comes from learning and knowing your instrument through and through. The term "fret-board freedom" comes from the ability to play on the guitar anything heard, read, or imagined.

I challenge my students to learn to how to read music and join the world of musicians that speak the same musical language. In this way, we can overcome the language barrier and communicate, connect, and collaborate with all musicians.
